Welll, gentle reader, I’ve been neglectful of you but only because I was lolling about on the beaches of Oahu. Yep, it was tough but I perservered. I’m gonna get the pics all dolled up here in a couple of days and pop up a slideshow. I don’t really know how to do that yet! But hey, that’s what Google is for!
Just know that I had a great time and was there for a close friend’s wedding. The whole festival of marital whoo ha was great. She’s Filipino-American who married a Kenyan and the ceremony was presided over by a Hawaiian minister. Part of the ceremony was in Hawaiian and Swahili! So cool!
Oh, and the reception was great. Excellent food and open bar! Love that!
Overall, the trip was swell but I think you’ll find the pics a better story than this blog post!

So Ernesto was really supposed to be a non-event. It wasn’t categorized as a hurricane and I’ve been through a couple of hurricanes since being a home owner. No worries right?

Wrong! That bastard of a storm dumped so much freaking rain I wasn’t able to get to my house on Thursday. The streets flooded like I’ve never seen it flood (except during the biggy hurricanes). I mean, it was only a bloody tropical storm!
