I Got A New Ride

I went down to the dealer this past Saturday and leased me a ‘07 Mazda3 Sport 5-Door in sassy Sunshine Silver Metallic. It looks just like this pic except a light silver color. She’s pretty nice! First new car I’ve had since the legendary Toyota 4-Runner back in the early 90’s.

I’m pretty dang happy with my lease. The terms are great even if I blow over the mileage allowance. And did I mention how fast she goes?! Yikes I look down and am going 80 but it feels like 35. My old pickup never could handle much over 65 without letting me know I was pushing it!

It seats four fairly well and has a lovely trunk space for my signs and such. All good. Gas mileage is pretty good at 30/36 or there abouts.

Now that I’ve bought a car that is very Tokyo Drift I guess I may need to tint it up, get some neon and a big Mazda racing logo on the back. I’ll be hanging with all the Asian kids here soon!

What? I’m not kidding.

Where Do I Find All This Stuff?

While in LA and Vegas for the wedding extravaganza I had some interesting conversations with several friends about how I find out about stuff. Internet stuff, non-Internet stuff and just plain stuff.

Soooooo, I thought write about the various spots I troll for tidbits of interest to help my friends also troll for various spots of interest and we can swap Interesting Interweb Spots. Sound like fun?! Ok let’s go, sports racers!

Tra La La Los Angeles

Griffins at the Getty Villa
I’m out on the West Coast yet again. I get to hang in LA for a few days before heading over to Vegas for the wedding of a good friend. It’s wonderful seeing my pals but dang someone needs to hurry up and invent beaming technologies because flying is so tiresome. Ick. I do not enjoy it in the least especially with all the 9/11 uber security disrobing one has to do to board the dang plane.

I got to see my old friend Charlie (who has a link in the Blogroll list) - haven’t seen him in 15 years or so. That was swell. We had some cocktails, snacks and good conversation. I wish I could have stayed a leetle longer but you know how these things go.
